My Story

Hi, I’m the heart behind Smokey Lotus — a practice rooted in plant medicine, deep care, and a love for reconnecting with the wisdom of the body.

My journey with essential oils began about seven years ago after I broke my wrist during a 4th of July celebration (because, yes, I know how to have a good time). When my cast came off, I was looking for ways to support healing and mobility. That’s when I met Dianne — a local healer in Shelbyville, MO — and everything shifted.

What started as a few sessions in her home blossomed into a passion I couldn’t ignore. She taught me the power of oils through hands-on learning and care, and soon, my grandparents were joining me for treatments too. Dianne helped my grandma walk with ease again — something I’ll never forget.

Since then, Smokey Lotus has evolved into a mobile apothecary, traveling through Northwest Arkansas, Missouri, and Florida — offering our blends, balms, and body care at markets, pop-ups, and community events. We’ve also expanded into wholesale, connecting with shops and practitioners who share our values of intention, simplicity, and plant-powered wellness.

Every formula is created with reverence for the land, the lineage, and the people we meet along the way.
